Health Services Welcome Welcome to Health Services for Glen Ellyn District 41. The elementary school health offices are staffed by a full time health aide and share an Illinois Certified School Nurse. Hadley Junior High is staffed by a full-time Illinois Certified School Nurse and a full time health aide. Certified school nurses are registered nurses in the State of Illinois who minimally have a bachelor's degree and educational certification from the State. The certifed school nurses in District 41 are all Masters prepared registered nurses. The health aides are trained in first aid, CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The health aide is on site during the school day and works under the direction of the school nurse. The role of the health services staff is to promote the physical, mental, emotional and social well being of students by providing comprehensive health services. School nurses serve as a bridge between the medical and educational communities.
